Epilogue

What was the reason I did this?  It not like I'm a big hiker or outdoors man or anything like that.  It just seemed like a fun, cool thing to do.  One day at work I thought to myself... "hey, I would like to do that." And then I got scared and realized I might not.  EVER!  So I planned it, quit my job, and DID it.

Lets see... what did I learn from this whole thing?  Two things... If you want to do something... Just DO IT.  Life is short.  And that the A.T. always seems like it's going up!  If they found a way to make the trail go through Hell, it would be a climb to get there!

I guess I'll thank a couple of people here...

My Wife Lori.  She is the most understanding person on the planet.  Even though she wanted me to come home, she understood that I'm an obsessive sicko and that I needed to finish.

Jim Ryan.  Jim gave me the pin number to his calling card and it cost him dearly!  He also gave me the Dom Perignon I drank at the summit and job when I got back.  Thanks... and I quit.

Icky.  I don't know why, but we just started hanging out in N.C. and just hiked the rest of the way together.  He kept pushing me when I wanted to stop or quit.  His cruelty toward all the lamers made me laugh non stop!

If I can think of any more, I'll add them.

Here are some of the people that made this whole trip some thing to remember.
